Abstract
The pore and fracture of coal are the deposit space and channels used for migration and output of coalbed methane. In this paper, we studied the characteristics of pore and fracture and evaluated occurrence characteristics and permeability of coalbed methane in Fukang mining area through the methods of macroscopic and microscopic analysis of coal and rock, mercury injection and pore structure analysis of coal. The results show that the micro-pore of Fukang mining area is large and it is conducive to the adsorption and desorption of coalbed methane. Fracture development has the character of heterogeneity that the fracture in the west of Fukang mining area is the most developed, followed by the east, not developed in the center. Vitrinite increase results the increment of small and micro pores of coal, and it is conductive to absorption of CBM. The porosity is controlled by mesopore volume. The porosity of coal in Fukang mining area tends to increase with vitrinite reflectance. The results have some theoretical significance for the exploration and development of coalbed methane in Fukang mining area.
