Removing the ground penetrating radar direct wave via 2-D directional continue wavelet tansform ＆ the choice of mother wavelet

After a brief introduce of the theory of 2-D continue wavelet transform, the method is deeply studied to remove the direct wave by means of the 2-D directional continue wavelet transform technique. Furthermore, the resolving power of wavelets is discussed. The 2-D Cauchy wavelet is chose as mother wavelet for it’s effective computation compared with 2-D Morlet wavelet. The efficiency of the method has been demonstrated by practical GPR data.
