  • Normal stability analysis methods such as limited equilibrium method, digital analysis method, probability method and so on are introduced in this paper, and all methods are compared. Then introducing principle of finite element method, the stability of Zhongli landslide is analyzed by using finite element method. Main stress and stability coefficient of Zhongli landslide is achieved. Finally, stability coefficient is compared with ones that are achieved by other methods. A conclusion that FEM is a dependable method is drawn, and its conclusion can be applied to design of protection.
