  • Based on the geological conditions, such as the cross dimension, the position and the embedded depth of the coal tunnel, and according to the characteristics of quasi-ground building, the ground deformation of engineering site is quantitatively evaluated by applying the two-dimensional and three-dimensional Distinct Element Method. The horizontal displacement amount and vertical displacement amount of ground buildings generated by coal tunnel are got.It can be seen from the results that the existence of underground tunnel cannot bring dangers to upper buildings, but only create minute settlement deformations. At the same time, some engineering safety measures are put forward to supply necessary rules for favoring execution of engineering constructions.
