THE ROLE OF MUD GAS LOGGING IN COALBED METHANE DEVELOPMENT

With respect to the current situation that the coalbed methane development attaches important only to the desorpted gas of coal core but not to the mud gas for a long time in our country,and combining with the author's experience and knowledge on the mud gas logging for several years, the role of mud gas logging in the resource evaluation and development of coal methane is discussed from the aspects of the principle,objective, significance, function and economic benefit.
