  • In order to reduce mine gas content as well as retrofit into low gas content mine from high gas content mine,the water sealing tunnel drainage(WSTD) is proposed under the basis of low dissolvability of mine gas in this paper.This novel technology has shown some significant advantages since it was applied in a mine,i.e.good gas resistance,drainage gas with higher concentrationreach purity of 95%,higher drainage productivity.After pilot test of WSTD in the mine,the absolute effusive load of gas was decreasing to 24.27 m3/min from 40 m3/min in corresponding to relative effusive load of 6.9 m3/t from 12 m3/t,wheras the accumulative drainage output was 2.8×109 m3.Therefore,the co-production of coal and gas can be simultaneously realized by the novel technology,which shall have positive significance in safety,economy and social effect as well as good solution for problem of gas disposal.
