Abstract
There is obvious difference in ground environm ental hazards induced by underground mining of the same intensity because of diversity in tectonic setti ngs. The difference in antidisarrangement capacity of geological environment det ermines that there are different enduring capacities against underground mining in different coal mining areas. The coal mining area of stronger antidisarrangem ent capacity can endure larger scale mining, whereas the mining action of the sa me intensity may result in serious ground damage, even environmental hazard in the area of weaker antidisarrangement capacity. A conclusion can be made from the facts mentioned above that ground environmental hazard related to underground mining is induced by mining, but the formation and development of the hazard is controlled by tectonic settings in coal mining areas.
