THE CARBONIFEROUS SEDIMENTS AND COAL ACCUMULATION FEATURES IN ZHUOZI AND HELAN MOUNTAINS REGION

The studing areas are located in Zhuozi and Helan Mountains region. Its carboniferous strata are mainly composed of elastic rocks, including a little of carbonate. The stratigraphic seguence is divided into the Jiangyuan Formation （C¹₂）. Yanghugou Formation （C²₂） and Taiyuan Formation （C₃）.The sedimentary factes are a typical delta depositinal system. The upper delta plain is the best coal-bearing environment.
