Distinctive properties and utilization way of kaolinite in Zhahe mining area, Huaibei

  • It is studied that a kaolinite bed located between No.5 and No.6 coal seams at the bottom of Xiashihezi Formation in Zhahe mining area,Huaibei,by means of differential thermal analysis,X-ray diffractogram,infrared spectroscopic analysis.The study results show that this kaolinite bed consists of roughly pure kaolinite mineral ores with average depth of 3.8 m,in which the content of Al2O3 is generally 36%-39%,but Fe2O3 is 0.78%-1.71%,TiO2 is 0.49%-0.97%.It is proved that this kind of kaolinite can be favorably used for making chemical products and calcining kaoline.
