RELATION BETWEEN PALAEO-TECTONIC STRESS FIELD AND COAL AND GAS OUTBURST

Coal and gas outbursts in this shaft, most of which are collapses due to gas and gravity, occured only in Ⅲ₃coal seam In this paper, the authores have taken Ⅲ₃coal seam of the mine as an example, simuleted its 3—dimensional palaeo—tectonic stress field by means of FEM, probed into the relation between palaeo-tectonic stress field and coal and gas outburst, and predicted the tendency of coal and gas outbutst of unmined areas taking account of orther factors.
