DISCUSSION ON MID-LATE PERMIAN COAL DEPOSITION TYPES,SOUTHERN CHINA

Th deposition types and correlation of the Longtan Formation in southern China are very complex and difficult.In this paper the longtan Formation is divided into a types according to correlation standards of petrographic strata,biostrata,coal-bearing strata and their together combination and stacking relations,using marine beds as correlation mark and with the consideration of Mid-Late Permian tectono-paleogeographic characteristics.
