TYPES OF D-vR CURVE OF CAVERN MEASURED BY STEADY-STATE RAYLEIGH WAVE

Abstract In Rayleigh wave prospecting,the diagnosis of geologic bodies,such as cavern, weaker zone and so on,are still based primarily on the abnormal features which are expressed by the variations of D-vR curve morphology,and they are depended largely on the practical experience of interpreter. Based on many year's practices, the abnormal features expressed by the geologic bodies like cavern are divided into 6 kinds by the author, and illustrated with examples. Therefore,it provides the foundational data for spreading the application of Rayleigh wave method and futher realizing the programmed control and automatization of interpretation.
