THE APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK IN LITHOLOGY AUTO- IDENTIFICATION FROM COAL WELL LOGS

This paper begins with an introduction on the development condition of ANN (Artificial Neural Network), the theory foundation, structure and it's learning algorithm. Then we use one example to show how to build up a BP (Back Propagation) ANN and it's application in lithologic identification. At last we analyse the ANN identification and lithologic forecast results. In this paper we have given an original method in the field of geophysics.
