Abstract
Coordinated confocal laser microscopy and transmission election microscopy work on the coal and mudstone of Jurassic coal in the Turhan basin has shown that submicroliptinite disseminate in collinte,mineral-bituminous matrix and some macrinite in the sub-micro level(<1μm),which is too fine to observe with light microscopy. The amounts of submicroliptinite in coal is about 8%~12% in the rank of vitrinite maximum reflectance 0 50%~0 70%R o Optical properties evolution of submicroliptinite appears to be faster than sporinite and cutinite.Submicroliptinite are important oil-prone source material in Jurassic coals of Turhan basin.
