Petrography and hydrocarbon generating potential of coal in Shendong mining area

Coal petrography of main minable coal beds in Shendong mining area and coal pyrogenation in Shenmu are researched in detail,the hydrocarbon potential of different coal components is discussed.It is considered that the characters of Shenmu coal are of high organic matter contents,low liquid hydrocarbon productivity and high gas hydro-carbon productivity,and there is a direct relationship between vitrinite contents and potential hydrocarbon generating.Therefore,vitrinite of coal is main precursor hydrocarbon-forming.On the basis of different lithotype of coal and coal samples analysis,the ability for hydro-carbon generating and precursor of bright type coal are better than that of dull type coal.
