COAL CONTROLLING ACTION OF WUZHILING FAULT

The Songshan and Qishan,Henan Province,a main distribution region of coal formation in Upper Paleozoic,has the very developed faulting structure.In which,the NW strike fault is most obvious,it is the main coal-controlling structure in the coal field.In this paper,the evolution characteristics of deformation of Wuzhiling fault are studied,and the relationship between it and thickness variation of Ⅱ₁ coal seam in Shangzhuang mine field is expounded.It is believed that the Wuzhiling fault has an important controlling action on the epigenetic variation of seam thickness,and it should pay attention to it during the exploration of coal field.
