  • The dissolution process and the rock mass breakage of marlite slope in Three Gorges Reservoir Region affect the Three Gorges Project to go along.Holding the breakage law benefits to the slope’s control and fence.The article begins with the basic geology information.And the different relations between the dissolution process and the slope rock mass properties are analyzed.The central contents include two parts.Firstly,the dissolvable minerals are dissolved and the mud component is enriched.The mineral ingredients have changes.Secondly,the dense joints and crannies develop in the rock mass.Therefore the rock mass structures turn loose.The joints and crannies become the infiltration path for the solution liquid.All these accelerate the dissolution process in the deep part of rock bed.So the dissolution process,together with many geological breakage factors,rebuild the marlite slope in the different breakage styles,which can be summarized in three types: block split in the thin-medium bed,point split in the medium-thick bed,layer split in the thick-huge bed.
