Experimental study on coal cleat in coalbed methane development

This experiment bases on different permeability in different directions of coal seam cleats.To arrange methane drainage direction the directions vertical and parallel to face cleat are adopted.It is confirmed that the initial methane drainage of 100 metre well in direction vertical to face cleat is 1.2 times than parallel direction, and the exhausting coefficient is reduced by 0.537.The methane drainage in vertical to face cleat is superior to parallel wells in all the times.From all the views of points, it is concluded that the methane drainage of wells in vertical direction to face cleat is much better than that of wells in parallel to face cleat.
