Design and implementation of HDD rig condition Data Detector

  • It’s of significance to gain real-time rig construction data accurately in HDD, but the traditional meters in the rig can not meet this requirement. HDD rig construction data detector was designed on the basis of LabVIEW8.5, which contained USB DAQ card, serial and six sensors to measure rotary pressure, thrust and pullback pressure, mud pressure, rotary speed, drilling speed and mud flow respectively and finally achieved the function of real-time condition data detection, real-time display, alarm, data save and data playback. The success of these functions can guide the construction’s operation and greatly raise construction efficiency.
