  • According to the data of prospective study of coal-accumulating basin in Hailar area, the authors discussed briefly regional tectonic background of sedimentary basin formation,basin fill-sequences and basin types,with the stress on coal- accumulating rules in various types of basin. It pointed out that coal accumulation is clearly controlled by the synsedimen- tary tectonic movement of basin marginal faults and basement faults.
