Mineralogical Characteristics of Partings in Seams in Shizuishan Mining Area

Kaolinite Partings are widely distributed in Permo-carboniferious coal seams in Shizuishan mine area.Having stable horizon and special minera-1ogical characteristics, the partings constitute ideal key horizons for seam correlation.The horizon and thickness change of the different partings, petrographic characteristics， chemical composition and mineralogical features are described, and the genesis of the partings is analysed.
