RECOGNISION OF GEOLOGIC KEY BED BY WELL LOGS

The ordered series matching method by using dynamic programming algorithm is discussed in this paper for recognision of geologic key beds in borehole by well logs. Not only the characteristics of log shape, but also the lithological properties are used for the selection of the pattern parameters, which are processed with the normlization. The window and interactive mode are used in the software developed for this method. All strata in whole well can be recognized, as well as the partial strata or sections of a well during the software running. A test of method and software has been done from several wells in Tangkou, Shandong and shown the satisfied results.
