THE RELATIONSHIP OF WATER CONTENT IN CENOZOIC GROUP TO WATER-CHARGING IN COAL MINES

  • The paper made a comprehensive analysis on the sedimentary characteristics and water content of overlying Cenozoic Group of the coal measure in Kaiping Coal Basin. Their relationship to water-charging in mines was discussed and predicted. It was indicatde that it should make a deep investigation into the sedimentary characteristics and water centent during the exploration phases, and because the water content was low in the lower of the Cenozoic Group, it should not "turn pale at mere metion of the base gravel bed".
