  • A new method to model 3D geological bodies including faults is presented.This method takes generalized tri-prism(GTP) as primitive modeling element,realizes inference and automatic modeling of geological structure including faults according to characteristics of borehole data and the knowledge inference rule,which can avoid unnecessary manual intervention,extend applicable range and expressing capability of 3D geological modeling.Finally,the practical modeling effect of this method is shown in a case study.
