Abstract
The authors have cualitatively determined maceral and paleosporopollen components under microscopy in No.4 inertinite-rich coal seam in Huanglong coalfield of Shaanxi province by means of coal petrology and palynology, and analyzed the relations between macerals and paleosporopollen types in the method of correlation analysis. The results show that there are correlations between macerals and paleosporopollen types. It is conoluded that these correlations account for the correla- tions between maceral origin and its coal- forming plants, that is,groundmass and detrital macerals in coal were mainly formed from herbaceous and tree pteridophyta plants, and cellar and banded macerals in coal from woody plants. The ratio of these two types of maceral components can eflect the vegetation features in peat-forming swamp.
