Study of No.2 landslide erosion in Tongwang highway by numerical simulation of elastic-plastic finite element

  • Taking No.2 landslide erosion of Tongwang highway as an example, the inducing factor, deformation behavior and the cause of the landslide revival are analyzed qualitatively. After the researching on the geomorphic character, rock-soil body compositions, hydrological character, the geological and calculating model is established. Then, the initial stress field of the slope is simulated by means of elastic-plastic finite element. The result shows that the Tongwang highway is under a unstable condition. Finally, the possible disaster degree and erosion amount after it's sliding are evaluated.
