Research on formation mechanism of earth fissure in Xuzhou coal mining area

The research results show that basis of earth fissures is the potential weak faces caused by modern tectonism,old mine collapsed crack and ground differential subsidence.Shrinkage of upper Quaternary aquifer makes the weak faces renewed as over pumping.Earth fissure is the result of water sinking and under erosion along the fissure surface,after severe rain.
