STUDY OF CHARACTERISTICS OF COAL ISOTOPE COMPOSITION IN CHINA

  • The paper has summarized the auther achievments in isotope study of caol and its coalification products in recent ten years. δ13C values of all macerals coal range from -22.5‰ to -25.5‰, average value is -24.4‰. Affects of coalification and geologic age can be ignored. However, the more exinite, the lighter δ13C value of coal. The products of coal thermal simulated experiments rule of δ13C value is that methane in gaseous hydrocarbon has lightest isotope composition when liquid hydrocarbon produces most, δ13C of liquid hydrocarbon is similar to coal, organic compositions δ13C value of alkanes gets heavier with temperature increases. Sulphur and hydrogen isotope composition of coal are evidently effected by environment.
