AN ENGINEEYING GEOLOGIC EVALUA- TION OF STABILITY FOR ROOF AND FLOOR OF COAL SEAM BY FUZZY CLUSTER ANALYSIS

  • In the stage of coal exploration, theestimations of engineering geological conditions and its classfication have great fuzziness. It is pointed out that the good results will be obtained if fuzzy cluster analysis is adopted. The procedure of the technique includes 4 steps: a. classification and mark of engineering geological conditions for each prospesting hole; b. establishment of fuzzy similarity matrix; c. netting and cluster of data from practice; d. division of area and denomination. The method has advantages of simplicity, convenience, and it canimprove the quality of geological report.
