The impact of the pipeline construction on fragile ecologi-environmental area

The engineering of huge scale gas pipeline construction with the development of the West Gas to the East Project has been making irreversible impact and damage on surrounding fragile ecologic-environment of the drought and semidrought deserts and used lands in the Northwest Region of China.With the techniques of remote sensing and sampling on spot,the characteristics of the vegetations,land utilizations and soil erosions,before and past engineering,along the both sides of the pipeline of the project namely Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Gas Field to Yinchuan Gas Pipeline Engineering Project are comparatively studied.Considering the adopted measures during the engineering,some improved measures are put forward for the ecological protection and restoration in the related area.
