Stratigraphic characteristics of Permo-Carboniferous sequances in western Jiyuan

According to the field investigation and exploration data,the characteristics of sequence stratigraphy of Permo-Carboniferous strata in the west of Jiyuan (Henan Province) is systematically described in this paper.The controlling factors of coal accumulation are also discussed.The fluvial and delta deposits o f Carboniferous are discovered in Henan Province at the first time.The authors suggest that Zhongtiao Mountain is probably the main terrigenous supply source.Research on the sequence stratigraphy in the west of Jiyuan is very important to reconstruct paleography of Permo-Carboniferous strata in Henan Province.
