Characteristics of coal resources and its significance in northern Panjiang and Shuicheng mining district, Guizhou

Upper Permian Longtan Formation and Wangjiazhai Formation coals' resources characteristics and their variation law are summarized through sampled-test alaysis and statistics in northern Panjiang and Shuicheng mining district.The results show that the coal characteristics is of high vitrinite content,medium-high-sulphur,medium-high-ash,high ash melting point,relative rich-hydrogen(comparing with the same coal rank) in this area,which is closely related to geologic setting and geologic control,the lithotypes,sulfur content and ash content is mainly controlled by delta-onshore depositional system,the volatile matter content and carbon hydrogen ratio is mainly effected by coal metamorphism;The district is rich in chemical coal resources,the gasified coal and coking coal reserves are the primary types of the chemical coal resources;The coking coal reserves are concentrated and abundant,the liquefaction coal is rare but relatively concentrated.It is feasible to establish Shuicheng direct coal liquefaction base,Shuicheng coal coking base and North Panjiang coal coking base in the area.
