ADAPTIVE-DIP-AREA(ADA) METHOD──A IMPROVED CMP METHOD

More Information
  • Received Date: October 14, 1993
  • The Adaptive-Dip-Area (ADA) method is a improved CMP method. It can be used to estimate the reflection wave of a given point with the reflection waves of the neighboring points, without increasing field work and migration distance. So the stacking fold and the S/N ratio are raised. The error of the statics and NMO corrections can be compensated by ADA method. And the possible vagueness of the fault points and pinchout points can be avoided by using the nonlinear method.
