QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF HYDROCARBON GENERATION AND EXPULTION IN COAL BEARING MEASURES IN HAILAER BASIN

  • The coals with different coal ranks occurrence in Hailaer basin.According to hydrocarbon generation and expulsion data of coalbearing source rocks,the section n2 is the best coal bed,then is the sectiond 2.In addition,the Tongbomiao Formation and the Nantun Formation are the most favorable coalbearing pelites.The sequence of gas generation amount of coalbearing source rocks in different depressions is:Huhehu>beier>Wuerxun>Hulunhu depression.The sequence of oil generation amount of source rocks in above depressions is:Wuerxun>Huhehu>Beier>Hulunhu depression.The sequence of oil expulsion amount of source rocks is:wuerxun>Beier>Huhehu>Hulunhu depression.Therefore,a good exploration prospect is existed in Wuerxun and Beier and Huhehu depressions where are the favorable areas to find oil and gas resources in Hailaer basin.
