the article point out some few shortcoming of calibration and compensation algorithm base on analysis calibration information of XAM/XAP compensated density tool and compensation algorithm The XAM/XAP was calibrated again and then the new ridge-rib graph was made.Two new approaches for density compensation including the rib line equation coefficient and the high-order polynomials were worked by use of the information of new ridge-rib graph.So that the accuracy of density log canimprove to 0.03g/cm³.
