Coal property and application of high volatile bituminous coal in the northern Shaanxi Province

  • Through the proximate analysis, the ultimate analysis, the coal petrology methods and the Gray-King carbonization test, the paper studied the coal property, the low-temperature carbonization characteristics and its difference of Jurassic coal in the northern Shaanxi, such as Hengshan, Shenfu etc. It was demonstrated that the tar ratio was high at large, the blending coal not only reduced the sulfur content but also improved the low-temperature carbonization process and the product quality. Furthermore, the low-temperature carbonization parameters of the blending coal could be forecasted under the condition of holding the maceral composition and the low-temperature carbonization regularities of raw coal.
