Research prospect of applying microorganism in controlling coal gas

Methanotrophs can use methane as their sole carbon and energy source, which has potential value in coal gas control.The related current research status is introduced and a preliminary conclusion was drawn on the mechanism of methane oxidation by methanotroph, its physiolony and distribution in ecosystems, as well as potential use of methanotroph in biodegradation of gas.The feasibility of this kind of controlling techniques is analyzed, and the future research directions are pointed out in this paper.
