The large deformation and control strategy of Huocheling tunnel

Based on the field investigation,engineering geological exploration and stress analysis,the large deformation of Huocheling tunnel is studied.The large deformation is mainly due to rock properties,unsymmetrical load and tectonic effect of the Yunxi-Yunxian fault.The methods adopted treat it were enhancing the rigidity and strength of primary support system,increasing the perform deformation,completing the secondary lining in time,and carrying out the necessary remediation on the ground surface of specially region.The results showed that the large deformation reduced from 1600 mm to less-than 20 mm after remediation and the control strategy is applicable to the surrounding rock influenced by Yunxi-Yunxian fault.
