  • The studies of the distribution of mercury in coals from four large coal basins(Liuzhi,Shuicheng,Panjiang and Guiyang coal basins) in Guizhou Province show that the average mercury content in coals is 0.552μg/g;that mercury in coal mostly occurs in pyrite,while only less mercury exists in silicate mineral phase.The mercury pollution problem caused by coal burning in Guizhou is very serious
