With the development on many new coal fields and the deepth increasment of coal mines,the coal mine soft rock has become a serious problem affecting coal mines produce and building. Having made a great deal of survey, author have researched soft rocks engineering geological properties, substance composition and structure. Author also have researched the relation between soft rocks substance composition and its engineering properties, revealed the reason why soft rock's engineering are so bad, put forward several reasonable proposals.
