Discussion on genetic mechanism of reverse thrust and its coal-controlling effect in Subang coal mining area

  • Different authors have different opinions on the genetic mechanism and coal-controlling effect of the F 106 reverse thrust in the Subang coal mining area, Fujian. From the view of characteristics of the thrust as well as regional tectonic setting, its main genesis should be the Indo-Chinese Epoch gliding napping. The following earlier and later stages lateral compression formed the thrust nappe structure, which can be observed at present. Since the hanging wall coal-bearing gliding system suffered multiple stages of structural destructions, already has no explorative value, while the footwall coal-bearing strata are relatively preserved intact, and should be regarded as the main exploration target. Meanwhile, the paper also points out the coal prospecting orientation in the periphery of the mining area and prospective coalfield.
