Analysis of sequence stratigraphy and sedimentary system in Jingtai basin

  • Taking Jingtai Mesozoic coal-bearing basin as an example the prediction method for exploring Mesozoic coal enrichment unit is researched with the theory of sequence stratigraphy under the condition of terrestrial coal ac-cumulating basin,and based on the portrait materials of outcrop.The study identified each sequence stratum unit and determined the forming condition and distribution of coal enrichment unit.The study results show that the coal-bearing interval(J1,J21) in Jingtai basin contains four genetic stratigraphic units;The Coal 2 and Coal 1 of J1 dis-tributed in the area with abundant peat and where the speed of the basin settlement and the peat accumulation are balanced.The rich set of the Coal 3 and Coal 4 of J21 distributed between the edge of the basin and the centers of set-tlement.
