Distribution characteristics of soil back pressure in round working well

Taking a designed round reinforced sement soil working well as a basic model,and considering its macroscopically presented orthogonal anisotropy,the technique of orthogonal anisotropy 3D limited element analysis is used to research the distribution characteristics of soil back pressure caused by top thrust force.The study indicated that the soil back pressure distributed as “straw hat”,and concrete distribution characteristics and scope mainly controlled by structural isotropic stiffness of working well and soil stiffness.The summary on the relation between distribution characteristics of soil back pressure and its controlling factors is of significance for working well design.
