CBM development potential of high rank coal with reference to Qinshui coal field,Shanxi

The CBM geological conditions and reservoir characteristics in the Qinshui coalfield,Shanxi are researched.Based on the research results,CBM potential of high rank coals such as anthracite and so on are evaluated.The results indicated that high rank coals may have the good potential of CBM development,when coal reservoir parameters are well combined,especially the permeability is good.The permeability of high rank coal is mainly contributed to the well-preserved coal fracture network caused by structure in a suitable geological tectonic background.
