THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FRACTAL DIMENSION OF FISSURE NETWORK AND PERMEABILITY

Based on a previous laboratory test of fissure network water,a simple statistics and analysis is given by using fractal theory to obtain the characteristic value-fractal dimension,which can quantiateively describe this cimplicated fissure network system,and to find the relationship between the fractal dimension and permeability.The results show that there is a positive correlation between the fractal dimension and permeability.It may provide a simple and practical method to evaluate the permeability of fissure network.
