Environmental geology problems in Huainan Mining Area

The paper discusses main environmental geology problems caused by mining of coal, such as mining slump, land subsidence. Karst slump, soil hole slump and groundwater meagerness, pollution caused by mine water and coal gangue. The circumstance and developing tendency are discussed. The feedback action of mining coal and geological environment is analyzed, based on ecology and sustainable development theory. The idea of sanitary landfill for coal gangue and synthetic harness for geological environment of mining area are provided.
