Metallogenic conditions of sandstone uranium deposits in the coal-bearing area on the southeastern margin of Ordos basin

Abstract
In order to study the metallogenic geological conditions of sandstone uranium deposits in the coal-bearing area in the southeastern margin of Ordos basin, the geological characteristics, structure, hydrology, strata lithofacies and uranium source of the area were analyzed, and the methods of data collection, microscopic identification, coal field data screening and geological mapping were adopted. Comprehensive analysis shows that the lower part of the Zhiluo Formation of Middle Jurassic in the southeastern margin of Ordos basin is characterized by abnormal development of radioactivity and is the main target bed for prospecting; the ore-controlling structure is favorable, the mud-sand-mud stratum structure is complete, the hydrodynamic condition is perfect, and the uranium source is abundant. Combined with the existing drilling verification, the sandstone uranium mineralization in this area is proved. The ore geological conditions are superior and uranium prospecting potential is large.
