Abstract
By statistical analysis of a large number of germanium content data in coal from coal exploration reports, it was confirmed that the average value of germanium in coal of coal-bearing region in Northeast China is distributed roughly in 1~5 ug/g, close to the average range of germanium content of Chinese coal, and the background of germanium content in coal is basically stable, even in the coalfields, even for the typical coal-germanium deposits located such as Ulantuga mine of Shengli coalfield and Wumuchang mine of Yimin coalfield, the germanium background value of the coal is not significantly high. The area of germanium enrichment in coal is often visible in hydrothermal minerals, combined with the previous study of the typical coal-germanium deposits, it is considered that the germanium in coal mainly come from thermal liquid, and hydrothermal intrusion provides a favorable condition for enrichment of germanium in coal. In addition, some new germanium anomalies in coal have been found in Erlian and Hailaer basins, because the enrichment of germanium in coal is usually smaller, the existing coal exploration data may not control the germanium enrichment range, these anomalies are worth further work.
