Structural features and coal-controlling effect in Quanji mountain area, Qinghai

  • The key of coal exploration in Quanji mountain area is to study coal-controlling structures. So, to effectively guide coal exploration in the study area, in recent years, through collecting and analyzing the latest geological data including geophysical prospecting, drilling and so on, the coal-controlling process of structure was discussed deeply based on the analysis of the structure characteristics and tectonic evolution of the study area. Research suggests that compressional and shear reverse faults of Quanji mountain area were developed in NWW direction; the staggered faults formed a series of strip blocks extending in NWW direction and had strong influence on coal-bearing strata transformation; the coal-controlling structures have experienced four stages and structures of each stage controlled coal seams and influenced each other.
