Tilt mechanism of piles in marine soft soil site

  • In order to study tilt mechanism of piles and its influencing factors on soft soil site, the investigation and the analysis were made fortilt accidents of piles in Lianyungang, and then the numerical model of pile was established. The affecting factors such as excavation and construction loads were analyzed. The results showthat such accidents of inclined pile occurred often and their offsets often exceeded the specifications in Lianyungang marine soft soil areas. The numerical calculation results and measured results achieved relatively good consistency, the impact of earth excavation on the offset of piles show parabolic shape, and the nearer the pit, the greater the impact. The load's impact on the offset of pile was bigger than the earth excavation, when closer to load, the smaller pile length show bigger offset of pile, in advance to prevent pile tilt, the attention should be paid enough attention to soas to prevent accidents of tilt piles.
